Initiative

Mark 1:21 They went to Capernaum, and when the Sabbath came, Jesus went into the synagogue and began to teach.

Jesus was a self-starter. He not only knew what to do but he got up and did it without any other person to motivate him or hold him accountable. How many great plans fail and how much great talent is wasted because of a lack of initiative? Likewise, consider how many mediocre plans succeed very well and how often an average talent goes a long way because the man or woman who possesses it has a lot of initiative. By definition, world changers do not succeed through the superb application of already well established methods and because of the encouragement and prodding of someone else. Men and women of impact do not simply envision a changed world; without hesitating, they get out and pursue their dreams.
